In February we hosted the first in our Jewelry Detectives storytelling series on the fascinating rediscovery of American jeweler, enamelist, and silversmith, Eda Lord Dixon (1876-1926). Veteran sleuths Medill Harvey, Associate Curator of American Decorative Arts at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Lori Zabar, independent decorative arts historian, curator, and former Met research associate took us through an engrossing tale that started with a mysterious new acquisition.
To read more about their discovery and the work of Dixon, check out Medill and Lori’s article for The Magazine ANTIQUES.
